I thought I had better get this down while it is fresh in my mind....

7 pm Saturday night, I had my first contraction, they ran every 5 minutes, I drove home and Rhonda came and picked me up and took me to McKay. Travis met us there, (after I had to text his brother to get him out of priesthood meeting). After 20 minutes, they checked me in. After another 30 minutes, they got me on a monitor and checked me. Although my contractions were consistent and I was progressing slowly, the nurse and my MD felt that I could go home. They couldn't "help" me along because I wasn't 39 weeks. So we went home. By 11:30 I was contracting every 2 minutes so at 12:30 am I told Travis I couldn't take it any more. I went so fast with Kass that I was a bit nervous so we went to Tremonton. They had me checked in, in a room and checked within 15 minutes. I had an epidural by 3 ish and the MD broke my water soon after. There was 1 + meconium in the amniotic fluid. The MD did an amnio wash which felt weird. At 5:14 we started pushing. We pushed for 8 minutes and he was born. His APGARS were 8, and 9, he required CPAP for 2 minutes but did great. He was 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 21 inches long. He definitely looks like Travis.
