One year ago today, we were in Michigan spending our first night with our Kennedy. She was so little and perfect. She was 6 ponds 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches. She is now 22 pounds and 30 1/2 inches. She slept 6 hours straight that night. We are almost back to that. Kassidy was so happy to finally have a sister. We were in a strangers home, in a strange place with a miracle in our arms. It was so hard to believe how lucky we were and how stressed we were. It was an experience we will be forever thankful for and one that we will never forget.
I am in awe of her, she has such a love for life and she is so fun to watch. She can (and does) make anyone smile. She has got such a fun personality. She is exploring everything. She is walking when she wants to now and she gets into everything and is developing a touch of a temper. She loves to watch the animals and she is determined to do everything that her sister does. She follows Kass everywhere. Kass is so patient with her, she sings to her and plays the piano with her and reads her stories. Kennedy loves to give her brother loves and kisses. She even tried to help me burp him today.
Kennedy is one of our greatest blessings. Our family would not be complete without her. We are so grateful for the miracle of adoption and for our brave birthmother and the sacrifice that she made. The Lord has truly blessed us, we are so grateful to Him.
