Cattle Drive

We had fun on the cattle drive, it was incredibly windy. We bought Kassidy a helmet and she was really good about wearing it. Her horse did great, her boots were too small (she told us the day before we left) but she made it work. No one got bucked off so it was good. We can usually plan on at least one accident. The kids and I followed in the truck. The babies tore it apart. Teddy, (the dog) did really well. She decided that she liked to dig in prairie dog holes. We got to stay in our trailer for the first time. I made a nice big list of everything that we needed to add to it of course. The weather was mostly nice and the company was great....

HI There, Diva and I are fine. Kass made a few new friends, she always has fun on the cattle drive
Travis is telling the legend of Robbers Roost to Nana and Papa
I wanted to capture the scenery along the drive, so here it is.
I think the Lord let the angels play with rocks and mud to see what they could create

Travis is roping more, he thinks he likes it. His horse is still deciding if he likes it

Kassidy at the end, dusty and windblown but she had fun
I decided that Travis' horse is kindof big. He doesn't seem that big at home and at least Travis' legs aren't dragging on the ground.
More scenery
This is the start of the drive, pretty huh (last day) but we only went one day so I guess it counts as the start.
Trav got to rope a calf and drag it to the trailer
Pushing through the gate, Kass is looking for me to make sure we make it through the gate, sweet girl.

Cattle Drive

We had a great time on the cattle drive and camping. we were able to spend the night in our new trailer, it was nice to have the heater kick on when it got cold. The bed was horrible, we have a list of things that we need to add to it but it seems that you have to try it out to find out what you still need. The weather was everything, wehad sun and rain and snow. Kassidy found an elk shed and Teddy figured out she liked to dig! Kennedy loved the cows and baby cows. I will add some more pictures. if you get the blog by email, click on this link to see the video. http://www.ktkkt.blogspot.com/ . The music is by Brenn Hill, feel free to order one of his CD's, he is from this area. www.brennhill.com

Kennedy's check up and the new addition

We have a new puppy, her name is Teddy but that may change. She is a cocker Spaniel and she is very sweet. Kennedy picks her up and carry's her everywhere. Kody doesn't like it when she nibbles on his toes but overall he likes her. Kassidy is just thrilled. Loosing Maddie has been really hard on her.
Our attempt at a family picture. The kids are just growing too fast.
Daddy and his little girl
Kennedy was playing the piano and Kody wanted in on the action.
Kennedy had her 2 year check up. She is 35 1/2 inches tall and 31 pounds. She is right on track developmentally. She has done much better since she got her tonsils out. We have only had 1 runny nose. (versus a continuous drip).
We are all doing well. I got the begining of my tomatos in today. It sounds like most of the peaches froze, we will have to wait and see what I lost. Hopefully we did better than those around us. We got to play outside a bunch today, it is so nice to finally have spring here!

Spring at our house

We went to Willow Park to see the animals, the kids all thought it was great. Kennedy liked the birds best. I think the Elk that was there is the same one I saw when I was a kid, I'm pretty sure.
Kass has a new hat, she thinks she's pretty cool.
Kody is signing "horse" he decided that the deer was a horse.
Kennedy and curious George
Kassidy was a Who
Kennedy loves shoes. She was walking around in Daddy's shoes.
I got a pony tail in Kenny's hair for about 30 minutes. She has so many curls its amazing.
Kody was "Helping" me with the socks. He had them everywhere but he had a blast!
