Sharing time

Warning, germ sharing involved. Mom, you may not want to watch this.

Kennedy is learning to share. The other day she wanted to show her brother how fun it is to suck on a penny. She has finally learned not to put money in her mouth, unfortunately, rocks are still fair game.

Kennedy and Kody

We try our best to help Kennedy learn to be soft with her brother. It won't be long before he can defend himself. That will be about the time that she learns to be soft. He rolled over onto his belly so she thought she needed to play with him. His tummy time is limited for obvious reasons.

July

Sweet peaceful moment, short lived, but sweet

Kennedy and mom.
Kennedy thinks she is so smart, she can climb onto my chair and make it rock.
Kennedy's new toy, she thinks its fun to carry around Kody's car seat, she likes to sit in it too

Ty got Married

We are so happy that Travis' little brother got married, and we love her- just a bonus- He looked pretty handsome, almost as handsome as my little man. Kassidy got her wish of being a flower girl, she has been asking Ty if she could be his flower girl for about 6 years. It was a beautiful wedding, Congratulations Ty and Carrie, welcome to the family Rilee and Kaylee

Kassidy

Kassidy has a cyst on her gum next to or connected to one of her not yet permanent teeth. She is having surgery (oral surgeon) on Wednesday the 23rd. She is a little bit freaked out by it so please don't mention it unless she brings it up. We will let you know how it goes. The pathology takes about 4-5 days and is usually benign.

Cutest kids ever

Kennedy can now climb onto everything. She has learned how high a stool can get her and what she can reach once she is on it!! She can also climb onto the couch, chair and window seal. Needless to say, we now keep the windows closed.
Lovin' on her brother
Kennedy has decided that she only wants to ride with mom. We were having a good time.
All the kids at one time. It was a fun ride.
(This was really just a photo op, Kody didn't get to ride.)
Kass thought it was fun to have Kennedy with her on her horse.
So sweet. Kody is rolling over, both ways and he is moving his legs like he wants to crawl. I will trip him, not kidding, I will.
Summer exhaustion
Just make it to my hand, its not that hard
Kody has discovered his fingers and likes them.
Kass, leave that poor kid alone- honestly

Adoption

I had the opportunity to speak to a group of birthmother's and tell them our adoption story. I told them of the miracles that lead to our adoption. I told them about the emotional hell that we went through. I told them that our birthmother was an angel in our eyes and that Kennedy was a gift and that she was meant to be our daughter. I testified that I know that Kody would not be here if Kennedy wasn't. I expressed our fear and our resolve when they asked about our birthfather. I told them about the amazing gift of the temple sealing and how awesome it was to have all of my children there. I told them that there was no difference in my heart between my adopted baby and my home grown babies. They all had their unique struggles getting to us. I feel so honored to have been able to tell those birthmother's how much they will mean to someone else' life and how much their babies family will love them for eternity. I am so grateful for our birthmother, for her sacrifice and her love for our sweet little Kennedy. We love adoption. We are so grateful for our caseworkers and the love that they showed us. I was so thankful for this opportunity. Just wanted you to know.

Vacation

Kennedy's first visit to a pool. Of course daddy had an iron grip on her
We enjoyed to stadium of Fire. The fireworks were incredible and the Jonus brothers weren't bad either. Kass tried not to act like all of the screaming girls. She thought they were silly- good girl!!!! We love Glenn Beck so it was fun to see him too. It was our first time there, definitely something to do again, but not for awhile.
The fly over was awesome
Kennedy loved the music of course
She lasted about 20 minutes and woke up again as the fireworks started.

4th of July

Kassidy at her first 4th of July celebration in 2000
Kennedy in her too cute patriotic outfit- she is so cute
Kass at the bottom of the slippery slide, gee I wonder why it is cold- it came out of the fire hydrant!!!!

Diggin' Kassy's snowcone
My sweet babies
Look, he does have a mom!!
Daddy's littlest girl enjoying the parade
Kody and Kassy at the parade
Silly girl
Taking pictures of 3 kids is really hard. Kennedy is stealing her sisters lip gloss. She loves the fact that she can open the bottle.
We had a great 4th of July. We watched the parade and then went to the little festival in town. We had most of Travis' family join us. Kennedy tried to run in the race but she saw something on the ground she thought she may be able to eat, so no running for her. Kass got knocked down and stepped on in her race but then she went home and rode with her daddy so it was all good. We are so grateful to live in this country and enjoy the freedoms that we have. We pray that we can help to keep it that way.

Just Wrong

Kody is rolling over- Back to front and front to back. He did it on the 22nd of June and I thought it was a fluke but now he is doing it consistently. I am not ready for my last baby to be growing so fast.
