I don't know who was more excited- or nervous. The dirt road thing has not helped with the bike riding thing. But, Finally, Success

Yet again
Well, as happens every year,,,,we are just past the first week of school and Kassy has a cold. So, of course little miss Kennedy has one too. Poor kid. She is miserable. She sleeps about 45 minutes then wakes up. All night long. yes, I am exhausted.Let me just say that, Pregnant 10 years ago was a heck of a lot easier than it is now. This kid is kicking my butt. We are struggling to pick boy names- so if you have ideas,,, I'm just sayin'

Kennedy is 4 months old
Our Kennedy is 4 months old. She weighs 15 pounds and 5 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long. she is in the 90% group for weight and 70% for height. her head was 15 inches, 50% so she doesn't have her daddy's big head!!! She is growing like a weed. She is giggling now on a very coveted basis. She will laugh at you if you sing to her or play with her with one of her toys. She has ticklish ribs, that will get her going now and then. She loves her little bunny. She is trying to stick everything in her mouth, including our fingers, cheeks, chin..... She is so much fun. The doctor kept looking at her and commented, "She is just so happy, is she always this way?" My answer was YES, always, espcially if her sister is around. Kassy can always make her happy.

First day of school
Another Miracle
Well, the Lord has His own timetable. 13 years ago Travis and I decided that it was time to have kids. 3 years later- along came Kassidy, our first Miracle. 2 years later, we thought we needed another one, so fertility treatments was us. On again off again for 5 years and 15 rounds of meds, shots, artificial insemination, tests, more tests, heartache, tears, barginning, more tears, hope, disappointment, the whole rollercoaster of emotions every month. Last April my doctor told us we had less than a 3% chance of ever getting pregnant I had "the most stubborn ovaries she had ever met". So we prayed a lot and decided that the Lord wanted us to adopt. So, we went through the process, no easy task I might add. And, we were blessed with our beautiful miracle #2 Kennedy. Now, we are Expecting Miracle #3, April 19th (7 days shy of Kennedy's first birthday). The Lord knew that we needed Kennedy in our home and Lily in our lives. We have been so blessed. There are no accidents with adoption, it is all a part of His plan. I am so grateful for His love and concern for me. I know that He knows me by name, He knows and has shared in my grief and has comforted me in my darkest times. I am not pregnant because we adopted. I am pregnant because that is what my Heavenly Father wanted for us. We are very excited.

pregnancy after adoption
Useful information- it doesn't "always" happen. Its a miracle-pure and simple, The Lords plan will not be interrupted, rushed, or messed up by those that think they know better.
(like me)
"In an extensive study performed by Michael Bohman, he found 8% of the adoptive parents ultimately had a biological child. According to Bohman, 8% of the infertile couples who had applied to the agency and then withdrew before adopting also later had biological children. Bohman discussed other studies, which indicate postadoptive pregnancies at a rate of about 3% to 10%.
The act of adopting a child cannot erase a woman's or man's infertility problem, and individuals who suggest adoption as a psychological "cure" to infertility are sadly misled. What is likely to happen in those instances is that infertility caused by unknown factors was somehow diminished. Since about 20% of infertile couples have "unexplained infertility" for their diagnosis, this is likely to account for such a phenomenon."

Sweet Smiles

I had to ask Travis to take our picture so that I could prove I actually exist. Kennedy in her crib. She loves the mobile and the bird thingy. It projects onto the ceiling.

Kennedy is getting ready for church where all of the ladies lavish her with attention. Dad, Kass and Kennedy are playing. Gloee is looking on in her pretty dress.

Kassidy and her best friend Miranda dressed up for the masquerade ball. They made the masks themselves they are very creative little girls. Kass is getting ready to go into the 4th grade. Its hard for me to believe that she is so grown up. She has come up with a new tradition. One of us has to walk home from church with her. Its a great time to talk about what happened in church and other things. Last week she told me all about the things that she is going to invent. She wants to invent a $100 car. She is so great. She loves her baby sister.
Wednesday, Kennedy figuredout how to eat. It was great. She gets so excited when she sees the spoon. She is trying really hard to suck on her fingers... We moved her into a crib. I can't believe that she is growing so fast.

Summer Fun
We are sad that the summer is almost over. We bought Kassidy a bike, she is learning to ride a two wheeler. Travis is helping her learn balance and I am the moral support. Kennedy is having fun with her hands, she is figuring out how to bat at things. She smiles all of the time. Kassy has her at the edge of a giggle. She is so much fun. We are so blessed to have two such beautiful girls.
